The ruins of an old bathhouse and stagecoach stop sit beside these rock pools on the east bank of the Rio Grande, which is half the reason to come. Getting there legally takes some care. The BLM says the only access is by river float or on foot from the John Dunn Bridge trail, and the scenic easement off Tune Road is closed to the public, so ignore any old directions that send you down Tune Drive. The pools depend on the river level, the area was closed during the 2022-23 bridge work, and the BLM gives no temperature. Check with the Taos Field Office before you go.
